Privacy Policy
The short version. Your birth date, time and place, your charts, your readings, your questions and your camera images are worked out and kept on your phone. We cannot see them and the app has no way to send them to us. The only things that involve a server are your sign-in, a small account record, and your subscription. Nothing is sold, and there is no advertising or tracking in the app.
1. Who we are
Netruve is made by Coerami Consulting Private Limited (CIN U62020UP2026PTC250963), a company registered in India, referred to as "we" and "us". We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
Registered address: 1183E Omaxe City, RBL Road, Lucknow 226002, Uttar Pradesh, India
Email: veil@netruve.com
2. What stays on your phone
This is the heart of the app. These things are created and kept only on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else by the app:
- the birth details you enter: date, time, place and its coordinates, and the names of the people you add;
- your charts and everything calculated from them: readings, life chapters, the Chinese Four Pillars, compatibility, year ahead;
- your questions to the Oracle, your tarot draws, I Ching casts and numerology results;
- your hand and tea-cup scans. The camera image is read live on the phone and is not saved or uploaded; only a handful of measurements are used, and they stay on screen;
- your settings and language, and your answers to "Did today match?".
Your profiles are kept in an encrypted database on the phone. The app has no endpoint that accepts a latitude, a longitude or a birth time. Android's automatic cloud backup is switched off for the app. If you choose to save a backup file yourself, it is encrypted with a password only you know. On iPhone, Netruve can also keep an encrypted backup in your own iCloud Drive: the profiles are encrypted on the phone with a random key that is stored in your iCloud Keychain, so the file is unreadable to us, to Apple and to anyone without your Apple account. It never passes through a Netruve server.
The app does not ask for your location. The city you pick for a birthplace comes from a list stored inside the app.
3. What we do collect
| What | Why | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in details: your email address and a sign-in provider (email and password, Google, Microsoft or Apple). Passwords are stored only as a salted hash by our sign-in service. | To create and secure your account. | You, when you sign in. If you use Google, Microsoft or Apple, they tell our sign-in service your email address (Apple may give a private relay address instead). |
| Account record: a random account ID, a public key made on your phone to prove the account is yours, your app language, your country (taken from your phone's language and region setting, never from GPS), when the account was created and last used, and the date you agreed to any optional feature. | To keep your account working, to choose the right crisis helpline for your country, and to prove when you gave consent. | Your phone. |
| Subscription status (Netruve Plus). | To unlock the paid features you bought. | Google Play (Android) or Apple (iPhone). They handle the payment. We never see your card or bank details. |
| Anonymous counts: for example how many times the safety check fired in a country on a day, or how much cloud-writing capacity was used. | To check the safety feature behaves sensibly and to run the service. | Our servers. These counts are not linked to you or to anything you wrote. |
We do not keep a history of what you ask or what the app answers, and we do not keep a record of distress phrases. The safety check runs on your phone before any question is read.
We do not use advertising or analytics tools, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
4. Other companies' tools
The app uses a few services from other companies. Where they can receive data, this is what they receive:
Google Play Billing and Apple in-app purchase
Used to sell Netruve Plus. They process your payment under their own terms and tell us whether you have an active subscription.
Google, Microsoft and Apple sign-in (optional)
If you choose them, they confirm your identity to our sign-in service. We receive your email address, not your password.
Google ML Kit text recognition (Android tea-leaf reading)
Tea-leaf reading uses Google ML Kit to recognise letters in the leaves. The recognition happens on your phone, and your photo is not sent to Google. ML Kit does send Google information about your device and the app, including device identifiers, and statistics about how the feature ran (for example, performance and error codes), which Google uses for diagnostics and analytics. See Google's ML Kit data disclosure.
Our servers
The sign-in service and the account record are hosted for us on servers we control or rent. We choose providers that protect data to a standard comparable to ours and we do not allow them to use it for their own purposes.
5. Cloud-written readings (optional, off by default)
The app can write your readings entirely on your phone. If you turn on "Allow cloud-narrated readings" in Settings, the app sends our server a symbolic summary of the astrology behind a reading (for example "Saturn is square your Moon, weight 0.8"), so a language model can put it into smoother prose. The summary contains no birth date, time or place, no name, no coordinates and not your question. Our server passes it to a language-model provider (currently Anthropic) to write the words. We keep only anonymous usage counts. You can turn this off at any time, and the date you agreed is recorded so we can honour your choice.
6. How we use data, and why
- To provide the app and your account (our contract with you).
- To sell, restore and verify Netruve Plus (our contract with you).
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (our legitimate interest).
- To route you to the right crisis helpline and to check the safety feature works (our legitimate interest in protecting people).
- To write cloud readings, only if you switch it on (your consent, which you can withdraw).
- To answer your emails and meet legal duties.
We do not sell personal data, rent it, or use it for advertising, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similar effects.
7. How long we keep it
- On your phone: until you delete a profile, erase the app's data, or uninstall it.
- Account record: until you ask us to delete the account, or we may delete an account that has been inactive for a long time.
- When you delete your account we erase the account record. We keep only a one-way hash of the account's public key, so we can recognise it if it is registered again, and no other detail.
- Anonymous counts may be kept as long as they are useful, because they identify no one.
- Records we must keep by law, for example about a purchase, are kept for the legally required time by the store that processed it.
8. Your rights and choices
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit or object to how we use it, and to withdraw a consent you gave. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these rights come from the GDPR. If you are in India, they come from the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, which also lets you nominate someone to exercise them for you. We will answer within 30 days.
- Delete your account: follow Delete your account.
- Delete what is on your phone: delete a profile in the Profile tab, or use "Erase" when you sign out, or uninstall the app.
- Turn off optional features: cloud-written readings, the morning reading and the biometric lock each have a switch in Settings.
- Camera and notifications: you can switch off either permission in your phone's settings at any time.
Because we hold so little, and nothing that identifies you beyond your sign-in details, in many cases there is simply nothing to return. We will tell you plainly what we hold.
9. Children
Netruve is meant for adults, 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has created an account, write to veil@netruve.com and we will delete it.
10. Security
Profiles on your phone are stored encrypted, and the key is protected by your phone's secure keystore. The app locks itself behind your phone's own fingerprint or face check if you turn that on; we never see your biometrics. Connections to our servers use encryption in transit. Requests from the app are signed with a key that never leaves your phone. No system is perfectly secure, so please also keep your phone locked and up to date.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before the change applies. Earlier versions are available on request.
12. Contact and complaints
Questions or requests: veil@netruve.com.
Grievance contact (India): veil@netruve.com.
If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the data protection authority where you live, such as the Data Protection Board of India, or your national authority in the EEA or UK.
